Kim Alboum

North Carolina State Director, The Humane Society of the United States

As the North Carolina state director for The HSUS, Kim Alboum has a special interest in puppy mills and animal shelters. In 2005, she became the volunteer coordinator and served as board member for the Puppy Mill Awareness Day Organization, founded to raise public awareness of mass-production puppy factories. Her volunteer responsibilities included tracking legislation and cruelty laws in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and others. She also worked with animal advocates across the country to create similar events in their own communities. As rescue community liaison for the French Bulldog Rescue Network, Kim’s role was to work with shelters and the rescue community to educate the public on breed-specific issues.
